I have been in the food business since I was 16 years old in a variety of different capacities. As for pastry experience, I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris with a pastry degree, and have won many nationally recognized awards across the country, including five food network challenges from 1999-2005. I have worked alongside some of the best pastry chefs in the world, and I have 2 design patents on both recipes and copyrighted sculptured cake designs.
The wedding cake and catering business is not new to me, having been a successful owner just a few years back. I stepped away from my part of the ownership for family, but never lost the passion a true pastry chef has to create something beautiful out of sugar.
Now that my daughter has grown, I am incredibly grateful and excited to start anew. That being said, my business plan included starting from home, where we have added an adjoining commercial gourmet kitchen space. I am licensed, bonded and insured. I have expert knowledge in food safety, with multiple food handling certifications and prior work experience in health department related fields.
